Choose your language
The portal works in English, Español, हिन्दी (Hindi), and 简体中文 (Mandarin).
- Where: use the language selector in the top bar (to the right of "Last sign-in") once you're signed in — or in the footer of the sign-in and sign-up pages before you sign in.
- Pick a language and the whole portal switches immediately — pages, buttons, messages, and dates. Your choice is remembered on that browser for about a year. (If the page doesn't switch on its own, click the small OK button next to the selector.)
- Your courses follow the same choice. The course player uses your portal language too — there is no separate language control inside a course. A course only offers the languages it was built with; if yours isn't available, that course simply plays in English.
- What stays in English: official records — printable transcripts, certificates, and the public certificate-verification page — plus emails from the portal, and course names as they appear in the catalog. Prices are always shown in US dollars. Some courses also present their quizzes and final exam in English only — see Quizzes, the passing score, and retakes.
- Your browser may offer to translate a page. That is fine for ordinary portal pages. On official records — transcripts, certificates, and the verification page — the portal asks it not to, because a machine-translated certificate reads as though the school issued those words when it did not. Use the portal's own language selector for everything else.
1. Create your account
- Go to the portal and click Create your account on the sign-in screen.
- Enter your full name, email address, mobile phone number, and a password, then confirm the password. A short sentence makes a good password; the form states its requirements and checks them as you type.
- Click Create account. Your confirmation code is emailed to you.
Notes:
- Your phone number is required so the school can reach you about training. It is not used for confirmation codes — those always go to your email.
- If an account with your email already exists on any SCG portal, the portal will tell you to sign in with your existing password instead — your Spartan account simply gains access to this training portal. Use Forgot your password? if you don't remember it.
2. Confirm your account (the code)
After sign-up we email a confirmation code to the address you registered. Enter it on the confirmation screen.
- The code is short-lived, and it is good for a limited number of tries.
- If it has lapsed or stopped working, use Resend code for a fresh one. Only the newest code works.
- Didn't get it? Check your spam folder, then Resend code.
3. Set up two-factor authentication (required)
Every account must enroll in two-factor authentication (2FA) before it can reach the training portal — administrators included, with no opt-out. This is a one-time setup:
- Install an authenticator app on your phone — Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.
- On the setup screen, scan the QR code with the app (or tap "Can't scan?" to type the key manually).
- Your app now shows a rotating numeric code. Enter the current one to finish.
From then on, after your password you'll enter the current code from your authenticator. Keep the app installed and backed up — if you lose the phone, your school administrator can reset your 2FA so you can enroll again.
4. Sign in
Enter your email and password, then (once 2FA is set up) the current code from your authenticator app.
Account lockout. To stop password guessing, repeated failed sign-ins temporarily lock the account. The lock lifts by itself after a short wait — or a school administrator can clear it for you immediately.
Staying signed in. A session lasts about a working day, after which you sign in again. Signing out (from the account menu) ends the session immediately.
